Brain Injury Society Receives Grant from Powell River Community Foundation

We are proud to share that the Powell River Brain Injury Society was selected as one of five local charitable organizations to receive funding from the Powell River Community Foundation (PRCF).

The grant was awarded during a ceremony on May 21 at the Cranberry Seniors Centre, alongside other community organizations including Elder Dog, Powell River Therapeutic Riding Association, qathet Community Justice, and Texada Island Non-Profit Seniors Housing Society.

PRCF President Dave Hodgins emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting regional priorities, noting that the PRCF manages over $1.5 million in assets and has returned more than $300,000 to the community through grants, scholarships, and bursaries.

We are grateful for the continued support that helps us provide vital services to those affected by brain injury in our community.
